DAY STRUCTURE CHANGES
Over the last 18 months our college has been working with the Department of Education and undertaking professional development to implement a program called “Professional Learning Communities”.
Professional Learning Communities (PLC’s) are an approach to school improvement where groups of teachers work collaboratively at the school level to improve student outcomes. By working as a Professional Learning Community we are following a proven way for our college to increase student learning by creating a culture that is focused on continuous improvement by linking the learning needs of students with the professional learning and practice of teachers.
To create the time for our teachers to undertake this work we will be changing the college day structure for 2021 and students will have an early finish on Tuesday afternoons (outlined below).
