NAPLAN Results 2025 - Above State Average

Carrum Downs Secondary College NAPLAN results for 2025 are simply outstanding. Each student's NAPLAN score is divided across a four point scale:

Exceeding
Strong
Developing
Needs Improvement

CDSC has achieved at the State Level for both Reading and Numeracy, which is a remarkable improvement.

Please note: These results are preliminary, individual student results are not available until later in the year.

The graph below shows student acheivement across Reading and Numeracy, with the percentage of students rated in the strong / exceeding category increasing by 14% for Year 9 Reading and 15% for Year 9 Numeracy.

Congratulations to all Year 7 and 9 students on these fantastic results. And a special thankyou to all of the teachers for their ongoing work. It is a really difficult time to be a teacher with staffing shortages across the whole of Victoria. To support students to achieve these outcomes is a credit to their professionalism and hard work.
