Thank you for your interest in Carrum Downs Secondary College. The next step in your child’s education is exciting, but it can also be challenging. We are here to support you and your child with this journey. Carrum Downs Secondary College is a community-focused Secondary School, evidenced by our relationships with our local feeder primary schools Banyan Fields, Rowellyn Park, Skye and non-Government Primary Schools in the area. Our partnerships enable us to prepare grade 6 students for their transition into year 7 at Carrum Downs Secondary College.
We realise the importance of having our new Year 7 students feeling that they belong and that they feel safe and successful at school. To further support our Year 7 students, we run a Year 7 Camp, Connect Program and Peer Support Program once they begin. Many staff assist our new Year 7 students and help them settle into their new environment. Key staff include their Connect Teacher and House Leadership Team, who are the first point of contact when questions arise for both students and families.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our Transition Coordinator Samantha Yeoh on 9788-9100 or email samantha.yeoh@education.vic.gov.au

Additional Orientation at Carrum Downs Secondary College
In order to make transition a more comfortable experience, Carrum Downs Secondary College plans to host additional orientation days during Term 4 for students who require additional familiarisation with the College, support to develop positive relationships with other students and have the opportunity to ask questions of our College Student Leaders. These additional transition events are focused on individual students who attend our non-feeder Primary Schools, or those students recommended by their Primary School teachers who would benefit from additional wellbeing and/or learning support. An invitation with further information will be provided closer to the date to identified individuals.
