Our Year 9 students have outperformed the state for Reading, Writing and Spelling.
Grammar and Punctuation was just below state, and our Numeracy growth is an area where we have work to do. Overall, to outperform the state average on 3 out of 5 measures is incredibly pleasing, but we still have work to do and in the coming years we are confident that our CDSC Year 9s will exceed the state average for growth on all 5 measures.
This improvement is the result of a committment to listen to our students and to make decisions to support them to be more connected, more engaged and safer at school. We have implemented significant changes from 2024 onwards and we are now starting to see these changes positively refelcted in student outcomes.
